Tyler Barth is President of the Young Investors Organization. The YIO, founded in 2007, is composed of 1100 members coming from over 60 countries. With ages spanning 20-40, these delegates are from some of the world’s most influential and affluent families. The YIO’s primary focus in their investment strategy is to source and invest in deals that create positive impact. Barth leads YIO’s efforts through developing programmes that support the U.N.’s goals for sustainable development and facilitating opportunities for YIO members to participate in some of the world’s most recognised forums.
Barth also advises Guggenheim Partners’ CIO, Scott Minerd, on a variety of special projects within the entertainment and media space with a focus on identifying unique opportunities and developing strategy for sustainable growth. He also co-heads City of Hope Hospital’s Future Hope Group for the Music and Entertainment Industry Board and serves on the Ubuntu Council for Charlize Theron’s African Outreach Project.
Formerly an executive at Transom Capital Group, a private equity shop based in Los Angeles, California, Tyler led biz-dev. related activities for some of its portfolio companies that included Blue Microphones, Cinder Block and Uncle Milton. During that time, Tyler developed key partnerships with Apple, Intel, Esquire Magazine, American Idol, CBS, Virgin America, Live Nation and Fender. Barth started his 17-year career in entertainment at Creative Artists Agency where he worked with John Ptak, former Head of the International Department and Bryan Lourd, Managing Partner of CAA.
Barth is deeply passionate about live music, music discovery, connecting interesting people, travel, storytelling, philanthropy and food. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
