Gordon has spent the last four years at Soneva Fushi resort, addressing waste management, food security and pest control challenges typical of small islands. He leads the Eco Centro recycling team, finding creative ways to turn waste materials into valuable new products, and generating revenue for the department in the process. He works with the head chef and horticulturist to oversee vegetable production in the gardens and leads the mushroom growing activities. He also spearheads the organic pest control programme, with the aim of eliminating toxic chemicals from the pest control regime, starting with mosquitoes.
