The travel and tourism industry currently contributes approximately 9% of global GDP or a value of over US$6 trillion, and accounts for 255 million jobs. As a subset of this industry, the global hospitality industry has the potential to be a key driver of sustainability from both a global and local perspective.

Jochen Zeitz and Sonu Shivdasani have partnered to identify opportunities for transformational change within the hospitality industry and to help facilitate moving ideas into action.

The broad goal of this initiative is to strengthen commitment and action for sustainability in the hospitality industry. We are working with International Tourism Partnership to agree common sustainability targets with leading hospitality companies.
